Newfoundland and Labrador Women's Institute Scholarship

This Scholarship is open to all Level III students who will graduate this year. You will need

A copy of your Senior High School Transcript, noting your choice of subjects from the following areas: Mathematics 3rd Level Academic or Advanced, English 3201 3rd Level Academic, Science one of – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Systems 3rd Level, Social Studies one of - World History, World Geography, Histoire Mondiale, French 3200, French Immersion equivalent is accepted.

An essay using a minimum of 250 words and a maximum of 500 on the following: Describe your most important contribution to your school or community. Why was it meaningful for you and your community?

A letter of reference from someone other than a relative.

A resume of extracurricular activities, including school and community involvement, work experience, volunteer experience, and any awards, etc.

Proof of attendance at a Post- Secondary Institution is required.

Application to be received on or before November 30, 2026

An amount up to $500.00 will be awarded during our annual celebration of Women’s Institute Week in Apr-May of each year.

Applications are now open for the Practical Nursing program for students looking to register for September.

AARAO FAIR - October 20th, 2026

The Atlantic Association of Registrars and Admissions Officers (AARAO) Post-Secondary Fair will take place at Carbonear Collegiate on October 20, 2026. Many Universities and Colleges from Atlantic Canada will be set up to share information and respond to questions from students. This is a great opportunity to learn more about their programs and campuses.

**To share your personal information (name, email, and interest areas) with attending institutes, please follow the directions to create a QR code for yourself. If you do not have data on your phone, you can save your code as a picture. This will make the process quicker on the day of the fair, as they can scan the personal QR code you create instead of having to get all your information each time you visit a booth.
