Student-Athletes and Families

Before participation

Student athletes are expected to:

• Complete the Safe Sport in Education course through CDLI and provide completion evidence.

  • Safe Sport in Education Letter

  • How to access the Safe Sport in Education course

• Submit the NLSchools-SSNL Athletic Contract and Athletic Medical Consent forms through Rycor. Parents/Guardians can access these forms by using the PowerSchool Parent Portal to access Rycor.

• Provide additional event and travel permission when requested.

School commitments

Attend regularly, meet academic responsibilities and demonstrate respectful behavior. Administration reviews participation concerns under the applicable contract and policies, taking individual circumstances into account.

Playing time and conduct

Competitive selection does not guarantee equal playing time. Coaches make fair, respectful decisions about lineups and tactics within school expectations. Students, families, and spectators must respect officials, opponents, and one another.

Costs and concerns

Inability to pay registration or travel fees must not prevent participation. Contact administration confidentially for assistance. Raise ordinary team questions with the coach at an appropriate time; bring safety, conduct, financial or policy concerns directly to the Athletic Director or administration.
