Our athletics program

Athletics are an important part of student life at Carbonear Collegiate. Our school is proud to provide students with opportunities to compete, develop their skills, build relationships, demonstrate leadership, and represent our school community. 

Our athletics program would not be possible without the commitment of our student-athletes, staff, families, and community volunteers who generously contribute their time and expertise. 

Our expectations

Participation in school atletics is a privilege and carries a responsibility to represent our school positively. Student-athletes, coaches, volunteers, and spectators are expected to promote an environment characterized by respect, sportsmanship, inclusion, safety, and appropriate conduct.  Competitive success does not take priority over student well being or the requirements governing school activities.

School responsibility

All Sentinel teams operate under school administration. Coaches lead instruction and ordinary team decisions within school guidelines and applicable NLSchools and SSNL requirements.

Questions regarding Carbonear Collegiate athletics and expressions of interest for coaching should be directed to the school's Athletic Director or school administration. 

We appreciate the contributions of everyone who help to provide safe, positive, and meaningful athletic opportunites for our students.
