Carbonear Collegiate High School is located in Carbonear (population 5000), one of the oldest settlements in Newfoundland, Canada. The school is operated by the NLSchools and has a student population of approximately 550 in grade 9 - Level III and a staff of approximately 40 members. The school was opened in September of 1985 and serves students from 10 different communities.

The school motto is 'Animus Vivit' which means: "The spirit lives”. The school colours are burgundy and grey; school teams wear the Sentinels logo .

Carbonear Collegiate offers a diverse program in academics, arts, and sports. We also offer excellent programs in Fine Arts, Music and Sports.
